## Short answer

**Can Claude write Facebook posts for my events and summarize the comments through Tareno?**

Yes. Claude turns your newsletter and event facts into Facebook Page posts, saves them as drafts through Tareno, and later reads the comments under published posts and groups them by question. It cannot post the replies. Scheduling stays pending until you approve it in Tareno, and Facebook posts go out as your Page.

A community choir, a repair café or a small museum runs events all year, and every event needs the same set of Facebook posts: the announcement, the reminder, the day-of post and the thank-you. The facts come from a newsletter or a spreadsheet, and the questions come back in the comments. Claude handles both ends: it writes from the facts you give it and reads the replies. Tareno is where the posts are saved and where Facebook comments can be read. This page follows a community choir through a concert series, from the newsletter to the comment summary, with the Page rules that matter.

## Example: a community choir promotes its spring concerts

Imagine a choir with three spring concerts. The coordinator keeps the tone notes and the programme in a Claude Project. She pastes the newsletter and asks for four posts per concert: announcement, reminder, day-of and thank-you. Claude drafts twelve posts, checks each date and time against the newsletter and flags one concert whose start time differs between two paragraphs. She fixes it, and Claude saves the posts with `create_drafts` for the choir's Page. After the first concert she asks Claude to read the comments on the announcement with `list_post_comments`. It groups them into seating questions, parking questions and one complaint, and drafts three replies for her to post herself.

## Step by step

1. **Keep the facts in one Project.** Put the programme, the venue details and the tone notes into a Claude Project and paste the newsletter into the chat. Claude cross-checks the dates against each other, which is where most event errors hide.
2. **Ask for a post per stage.** Request an announcement, a reminder, a day-of post and a thank-you for each event. Four short posts at different moments reach more people than one long post that nobody rereads.
3. **Resolve contradictions before saving.** Ask Claude to list every date, time and place in the drafts next to the source sentence, and to highlight disagreements. Fix the source, not just the post.
4. **Save as Page drafts.** Claude confirms the Facebook Page with `list_accounts` and saves the posts through `create_drafts`. Facebook publishes as the Page, so make sure the Page that is connected in Tareno is the one you mean.
5. **Plan the dates inside Facebook's window.** Meta's documentation says a scheduled post needs a time between 10 minutes and 30 days ahead. For a concert six weeks away, schedule the announcement later or ask Claude to check how Tareno handles the date through `get_platform_schema`.
6. **Read the comments afterwards.** After a post has run, ask Claude to read its comments with `list_post_comments`, group them and draft replies. You post the replies yourself, because Tareno does not publish comments.

## Prompts to copy

### Cross-check the newsletter

```text
Read the pasted newsletter and the programme in this Project. List every date, time, venue and registration link that appears, each with the sentence it comes from, and point out any contradiction between paragraphs. Do not write posts yet.
```

### Four posts per concert

```text
For each of the three concerts write four Facebook posts for our Page: announcement, reminder one week before, a day-of post and a thank-you. Use the tone notes in this Project, keep each under 600 characters and include the registration link only where it is useful.
```

### Save the drafts

```text
Use Tareno to confirm the Facebook Page [name] and save the twelve approved posts as drafts. Return a table with draft ID, concert and stage, and do not request any time before I have checked the dates.
```

### Sort the comments

```text
Use Tareno to read the comments under our announcement post [post reference]. Group them into seating questions, parking questions, praise and complaints, give me the count per group and draft one short reply for each question type. Do not publish anything.
```

## Facebook in Tareno

- Facebook is one of the networks where Tareno can read comments and list posts of the connected Page, including ones published outside Tareno, so Claude can see what people asked under earlier events.
- Meta's documentation says the Pages API posts as the Page and that the person using it needs the Page tasks to create content, manage and moderate; connect Facebook with an account that has them.
- Meta's documentation also says an app can update a Page post only if that app created it, which means a post made directly on Facebook cannot be edited later through Tareno.
- Facebook posts take links with a preview card in Tareno's configuration, so a registration link can sit inside the text of the announcement.

Official rules ([Meta: Pages API, posts](https://developers.facebook.com/docs/pages-api/posts), checked 2026-10-24):

- The Pages API posts as the Page. The person using it must be able to perform the Page tasks CREATE_CONTENT, MANAGE and MODERATE.
- A scheduled post needs a publish time between 10 minutes and 30 days after the API request.
- An app can update a Page post only if that app created it.

## Mistakes to avoid

- Trusting a time written in one paragraph. Newsletters are edited in layers, and Claude can only catch the disagreement if you ask it to list every time it sees.
- Scheduling an announcement more than 30 days ahead without checking. Meta's own limit for scheduled API posts is 30 days, so plan the date or confirm how Tareno handles it.
- Replying to a complaint with a template. Let Claude draft the reply, but read it before you post, because tone matters most on a complaint.
- Posting from the wrong identity. Facebook publishes as the Page, so confirm which Page is connected before the first draft.

## What does not work

- Claude cannot post replies to Facebook comments, because Tareno reads comments but has no tool that publishes a reply.
- It cannot edit a post that was created directly on Facebook, since Meta lets an app update only the posts it created.
- It cannot make a post go live on its own, because a time request becomes a post only after you approve it in the Tareno dashboard.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can Claude read the comments on our Facebook posts?

Yes. Tareno can read comments on Facebook, so Claude can group them by topic, count them and draft replies. It cannot publish the replies, so you post them yourself on Facebook after reading each one.

### Does Claude post as me or as our Page?

As the Page. Meta's Pages API publishes as the Page, and the person connecting it needs the Page tasks to create content, manage and moderate. Connect the Page in Tareno, then Claude sees it when it lists your accounts.

### How far ahead can I schedule a Facebook post?

Meta's documentation says a scheduled API post needs a time between 10 minutes and 30 days ahead. For events further away, schedule the announcement later or ask Claude to check how Tareno treats the date with the platform schema.

### Can Claude edit a post I wrote on Facebook?

No. Meta lets an app update a Page post only if that app created it, so Claude can change drafts and posts made through Tareno but not posts you published directly on Facebook.

### Can I include the registration link?

Yes. Links are supported in Facebook text in Tareno's configuration and get a preview card. Ask Claude to put the link in the announcement and reminder, and leave it out of the thank-you where it no longer helps.

### Will Claude publish the event posts on its own?

No. A scheduling request becomes a pending action in Tareno. Facebook receives the post only after you approve it in the dashboard, and `get_action_status` shows what happened afterwards.

## Tareno tools used

- `list_post_comments`
- `list_accounts`
- `create_drafts`
- `get_platform_schema`
- `get_action_status`

Approval model: Tareno saves drafts directly. Scheduling, publishing, edits to scheduled posts and deletions become pending actions that a person approves in the Tareno dashboard; no agent can approve them.
