Start from the highest-quality source you have. Resizing works best when the original image is already sharp and reasonably large. Low-resolution images become more obvious when adapted to multiple social formats.

Match the format to the publishing goal. Square posts are clean and simple, portrait feed posts take up more screen space, and Stories or Reels need full vertical framing. The right preset depends on how the content will be consumed.

Watch empty space and edge placement. When a source image does not naturally match the target aspect ratio, padding and spacing become part of the final design. Important text or logos should not sit too close to the edges.

Treat Reels and Stories as separate creative contexts. The technical size may match, but the content purpose often does not. A Story background and a Reel thumbnail or full-frame creative can need different visual priorities even at the same dimensions.

Preview before you export the final post asset. A quick preview helps you catch padding issues, awkward white space, and off-center subject placement before the file gets scheduled or sent to a client.

Use the resizer as one step in production, not the whole design process. Resizing is best for preparing final delivery files. If the image needs major cropping, retouching, or layout changes, that usually belongs in the design step before resizing.
