Use ChatGPT with Tareno to read analytics for your existing pins, spot which topics keep earning saves and draft new variants with different titles and images for approval in Tareno.
Can ChatGPT read my pin analytics and draft new pins based on what works?
Yes. ChatGPT reads the pins on your account and their analytics through Tareno, groups them by topic, shows which ones keep earning attention and drafts fresh variants with new titles and descriptions. It sees patterns, not causes. A person chooses, and scheduling stays pending until you approve it in Tareno.
Pinterest rewards patience: a pin posted in spring can still bring visitors in autumn, and the pins that perform are rarely the ones their author expected. That makes the account's own history the best brief for what to make next. The difficulty is reading it, because the numbers sit in a dashboard and nobody compares forty pins by hand. ChatGPT can read the list and the analytics through Tareno, group the pins by topic and propose variants. This page follows a printable-planner shop through a quarterly refresh, with the care needed not to confuse a pattern with a reason.
Example: a printable-planner shop refreshes its top pins
Imagine a shop that sells printable planners and has sixty pins. In ChatGPT she selects Tareno with @ and asks it to list the pins from the last year with list_account_posts, then to read the analytics of each with get_post_analytics. ChatGPT groups them: meal planners and budget sheets earn most of the saves, habit trackers few. It notes that the best pin used a tall image with a short title, which might be a coincidence. It drafts three variants for each of the two best topics, with new titles and different images from her library, and saves them with create_drafts. She approves a staggered schedule.
Step by step
01
List the pins for a fixed period
ChatGPT reads the account's pins with list_account_posts for a period you name, for example the last twelve months. Comparing pins of different ages is the commonest mistake in reading Pinterest numbers.
02
Read the analytics
For the pins in question, ChatGPT calls get_post_analytics. Ask it to report what the numbers are and which metrics are available, and not to invent any that Tareno does not return.
03
Group by topic and format
Ask for pins grouped by topic, image shape and title style, with the average of each group. A group of two pins is an anecdote, so ask ChatGPT to show the group sizes.
04
Separate pattern from reason
Ask ChatGPT to list what the data shows and what it only suggests. A tall image and a short title may be the cause or a coincidence, and the draft should test the idea, not assume it.
05
Draft variants and choose boards
ChatGPT writes variants with new titles and descriptions, picks other images from the library and lists boards with get_platform_options. Each variant is a new pin, not an edit of the old one.
06
Save and approve a staggered schedule
ChatGPT saves the drafts through create_drafts. Spread the requests over several weeks, and approve each in the Tareno dashboard.

List and read
Use Tareno to list the pins on my Pinterest account [name] from the last twelve months and read the analytics of each. Tell me which metrics Tareno returned, which it did not, and how many pins you could read. Do not draw conclusions yet.
Group and caution
Group the pins by topic, image shape and title style, with the group size and the average for each metric. Mark every group with fewer than five pins as too small to trust, and list what the numbers show separately from what they only suggest.
Draft the variants
For the two strongest topics write three new pin variants each, with a title within 100 characters, a description of about 300 characters and alt text. Each variant should test one change only, such as a shorter title or a different image, and say which change it tests.
Save to Tareno
Use Tareno to list my boards, find the alternative images in the media library and save the six approved variants as drafts with their boards. Return a table with draft ID, tested change and board, and request no times until I give you the schedule.

What Tareno can read
posts published outside Tareno: yes; comments: no; transcripts: yes; video download: yes
Network-specific
a Pin needs a board ID; read the boards with get_platform_options (pinterest_boards)
As configured in Tareno on 2026-10-24. The live rules for your own account come from the get_platform_schema tool.
What Pinterest itself documents
Every Pin is created on a board, so the request needs a board ID. The title may be up to 100 characters and the description up to 800.
Alt text may be up to 500 characters and the destination link up to 2,048. Both are optional in the API.
Tareno's configuration for Pinterest is stricter than the API: media is required, descriptions stop at 500 characters, and the link goes into its own field.
Pinterest is a network where Tareno lists the pins of an account and reads analytics for them, so ChatGPT can work from the account's own history, including pins created outside Tareno.
Tareno's configuration for Pinterest allows one image per pin, so a variant that tests a different image is a new pin, not a replacement for the old one.
Pinterest's API description sets titles at 100 characters, which makes a shorter-title test easy to run but a longer one impossible.
Tareno does not read comments on Pinterest pins, so ChatGPT's picture is limited to the metrics returned for each pin.
What does not work
ChatGPT cannot tell why a pin performed, only what the numbers show, so any explanation it offers is a hypothesis to test.
It cannot read comments on pins, because Tareno does not expose comments for Pinterest.
It cannot publish a variant on its own, since a time request becomes a pin only after you approve it in the Tareno dashboard.
Mistakes to avoid
Comparing a pin from last week with one from last spring. Compare pins over the same period since posting.
Reading a tiny group as a trend. Two pins that did well are an anecdote.
Changing three things in one variant. You will not know which change helped.
Assuming a metric exists. Ask ChatGPT which metrics Tareno actually returned.
Open the published Tareno listing, choose install or connect, and complete the Tareno login. Enable Tareno in a new conversation. For Claude, search for Tareno in the supported plugin directory.
Choose OAuth, connect and sign in with your own Tareno account. Check the requested permissions. Refresh the client's tool list after authorization.
Run list_accounts first. Confirm the returned workspace and account IDs before creating a draft. If no accounts appear, connect a social account in Tareno first.

Use the same Tareno account across supported clients. Open the relevant setup guide for authentication, first use, reconnect, and revocation.
Which topics, formats and title styles have kept earning saves and visits, compared over equal periods. It cannot tell you why, so treat each pattern as an idea to test with a variant rather than as a rule.
Which numbers does Tareno return for pins?
Ask ChatGPT to report exactly which metrics came back for your account and how many pins it could read. Do not accept figures it cannot show, because a missing metric is better stated than guessed.
Should variants replace the old pins?
No. Tareno creates new pins and has no tool that edits a live one. A variant is a new pin with a new title or image, and the old pin keeps working.
How many variants should I make at once?
A handful. Each variant should test one change, and with more than six you cannot tell what mattered. ChatGPT labels the tested change on every variant, which makes the comparison later easier.
Does ChatGPT see pins I created on Pinterest directly?
Yes. Tareno lists the pins of a connected Pinterest account, including ones created outside Tareno, so the history ChatGPT works from is the real account, not only what went through Tareno.
Will a variant go live automatically?
No. A scheduling request becomes a pending action in Tareno, and Pinterest receives the pin only after you approve it in the dashboard. `get_action_status` shows what happened afterwards.
