How do I connect Tareno to Gemini?
At gemini.google.com open Settings, then Connected Apps, and under Custom apps add the address of Tareno's MCP server. If the server does not support Dynamic Client Registration, Google's page says to enter credentials under Advanced features. Keep Activity must be on, and the feature needs a personal Google Account of an adult in the US. Tareno has not completed a client test with Gemini.
Connect Gemini in four steps
1
Check that you qualify
Google's help page says custom apps need an account holder aged 18 or over, in the US, signed in with a personal Google Account. Work and school accounts are not supported for now. The page also says Keep Activity must be turned on, because custom apps are unavailable without it.
2
Add the custom app on the web
Open gemini.google.com, then Settings and Connected Apps, and add a custom app by entering the address of Tareno's MCP server shown on the right. The page says custom apps can only be connected in the web app, even though they work in the mobile app afterwards.
3
Handle sign-in
The page says the server must follow the standard MCP specifications and that Gemini registers through Dynamic Client Registration where the server supports it. If it does not, you enter credentials under Advanced features. Sign in with your own Tareno account when asked.
4
Call the app and test with a read
Type @ in a prompt and select the custom app, then ask it to call your connected accounts. Seeing the account you meant to post from is the confirmation; A successful empty result can mean no social accounts are linked; an authentication or connector error is a different problem.
Review text, media, account, and time in Tareno and approve.
Where Gemini helps with Tareno
Gemini is the assistant many people already have in their pocket. These jobs fit that, within the limits Google sets for custom apps, and each has a workflow guide.
01
A voice note becomes a LinkedIn draft
Many professionals think out loud and never write the post. Dictate or paste the transcript into Gemini, ask for a LinkedIn post in your voice, and have it saved as a draft through Tareno. Gemini asks you to confirm the write, and the draft waits in Tareno until you decide on a time.
02
A quick offer becomes an X post from your phone
A small business can connect the app once on the web and then draft from the Gemini mobile app: the day's special, the new opening hours, a one-line announcement. Gemini writes within 280 characters, confirms the write with you and saves a draft for the business's X account.
03
A confirmation step you can see
Google says Gemini asks for manual confirmation before any write action, and Tareno adds a second gate by holding scheduling and publishing as pending. That makes Gemini a comfortable choice for people who want to see two clear stops before anything goes public, even though both can be slow when you are in a hurry.
Prompts to copy for Gemini
01
Check the connection
@Tareno list my connected social accounts with platform and account name. Read only: do not create, schedule or publish anything. Tell me which account you would use for a LinkedIn post and which for an X post.
02
Voice note to LinkedIn
Here is the transcript of my voice note: text. Write a LinkedIn post of about 180 words in my voice from it, keep only what I actually said and then use Tareno to save the approved text as a draft for LinkedIn profile. Show me the text first.
03
A short X announcement
Write an X post within 280 characters announcing new opening hours for business, with no hashtags. Use Tareno to confirm the X account handle and save the approved text as a draft, then return the draft ID and the character count.
04
Read before writing
Use Tareno to list my five most recent drafts and tell me what each one is about. Do not edit or delete anything. Then suggest one new draft topic that does not repeat them, and wait for my go-ahead before you save anything.
05
Request the slot
Take the approved draft draft ID and ask Tareno to schedule it for tomorrow 09:00 in America/New_York. Return the action ID and remind me that the request still waits for my approval in the Tareno dashboard.
All Gemini guides
One guide for every network this agent can work with in Tareno, each with its own example, prompts and limits.
Tareno has not completed a client test with Gemini. The setup follows Google's help page for custom apps, which does not name a specific transport or mention OAuth, so verify the connection with a read-only call.
Google's page covers custom apps in the Gemini apps. It does not mention Gemini Spark, so this page makes no claim about it.
Custom apps are limited to adults in the US with a personal Google Account, in English, and Keep Activity must be on. Work and school accounts are not supported for now.
You connect a custom app only in the web app, though it can be used in the mobile app afterwards. Google says Gemini requires manual confirmation for write actions and can make mistakes.
Scheduling, publishing, edits to scheduled posts and deletions create approval actions in Tareno. Gemini can request them but cannot approve them.
Gemini compared with ChatGPT and Claude
ChatGPT and Claude also reach Tareno from a chat window, ChatGPT through a published plugin and Claude through a plugin that works in its apps. Gemini's route is the custom app, with Google's regional and account limits, so check that you qualify before you plan around it. If you do not, one of the other assistants is the simpler choice.

mcp · Setup documented; client test still required
Open the client's MCP server settings. Add Tareno with the HTTPS endpoint below using Streamable HTTP. This requires support for authenticated remote MCP, not just local stdio servers.
Choose OAuth, connect and sign in with your own Tareno account. Check the requested permissions. Refresh the client's tool list after authorization.
Run list_accounts first. Confirm the returned workspace and account IDs before creating a draft. If no accounts appear, connect a social account in Tareno first.

Use the same Tareno account across supported clients. Open the relevant setup guide for authentication, first use, reconnect, and revocation.
Google documents a custom-app route for eligible accounts; a successful Tareno connection has not been verified. Google's help page limits custom apps to adults in the US with a personal Google Account, in English. Tareno has not completed a client test with Gemini, so confirm the connection with a read-only call.
Does this work with Gemini Spark?
This page makes no claim about Spark. Google's help page for custom apps covers the Gemini apps on the web and on mobile and does not name Spark. Check Google's current documentation for the product you use, and tell Tareno's support if you want it covered.
Why can't I add the app on my phone?
Google's page says custom apps can only be connected in the web app at gemini.google.com. After that they work in the mobile app, so connect once on a computer and then draft from your phone.
Can I use a work or school Google account?
Not for now. Google's help page says work and school accounts are not supported for custom apps, and that Keep Activity must be turned on. Use a personal account that meets the age and region requirements, or choose another assistant.
Does Gemini need credentials for Tareno?
Only if Tareno's server cannot register Gemini automatically. Google's page says to enter credentials under Advanced features when Dynamic Client Registration is not supported. Otherwise you sign in with your own Tareno account, and nothing needs to be typed into a prompt.
Can Gemini publish a post without my approval?
No. Google says Gemini requires manual confirmation for write actions, and a scheduling or publishing request becomes an approval action in Tareno that only you can approve in the dashboard. Gemini can only report that the action is pending.
Is the confirmation step a guarantee that a draft is right?
No. Google itself says Gemini can make mistakes. The confirmation shows what will be written, and you still read the text, the account and the character count before you agree and again in Tareno before you approve a time.
Which Tareno tools will Gemini call first?
Usually `list_accounts` to confirm the destination, then `create_drafts` to save the text. `schedule_posts` comes last and returns an approval action instead of publishing anything, and `get_action_status` shows what happened to the request.
