Hand Manus a destination, an approved asset folder and campaign dates; it researches, proposes captions and returns a review table of drafts in Tareno for you to approve.
Can Manus research a topic and turn approved assets into an Instagram caption plan?
Yes, over the tested custom MCP connection to Tareno. Manus researches the topic from sources you approve, lists your approved assets, proposes a caption and a date for each and saves the pairs as Instagram drafts. Every scheduling request waits for your approval.
Travel and hospitality brands post about places, and a caption about a place needs facts: when the season starts, what a ferry costs, which month the festival runs. Manus is built for tasks that take time and sources, which makes it a fit for captions that must be correct. With your own Tareno account connected, it can add the second half: your approved photos, your Instagram account and an approval step. This page follows a travel agency planning a spring campaign and shows how research, assets and dates end up as one table that a person can check in minutes.
Example: a travel agency plans a spring campaign for the Algarve
Imagine an agency that sells small-group trips to Portugal. The marketer gives Manus a list of approved sources, the campaign dates and a folder of twelve photos already in the Tareno library. Manus researches the best months for walking, festival dates and typical prices, and notes where two sources disagree. It lists the photos with list_media, proposes one caption and one date per photo, and returns a review table with file, caption, date and the source for every fact. The marketer corrects two dates, Manus saves the accepted rows through create_drafts, and the marketer checks each draft in Tareno before requesting slots. Each request waits as a pending action until she approves it.
Step by step
01
Connect Tareno through the custom MCP path
Add Tareno as your own custom MCP connection in Manus, choose OAuth and sign in with your Tareno account. This is the connection path we tested with OAuth and tool calls.
02
Give Manus the sources it may use
List the websites and documents it can rely on and the ones it must not. A research task is only as reliable as its source list, and naming sources makes the result checkable.
03
Ask for a research brief first
Request a short brief with the facts you want to use, where sources disagree and what remains uncertain. Correct it before any caption is written.
04
Match assets and dates
Manus lists approved files with list_media and proposes a caption and a date for each. If a photo shows something the research does not cover, it should say so instead of inventing context.
05
Return a review table
The result should be one table: file, caption, date and the source for each fact. A reviewer can check twelve rows quickly, which is the point of the format.
06
Save, request and approve
Manus saves accepted rows through create_drafts and, if you ask, requests slots. Every request is a pending action; you approve it in the Tareno dashboard.
Prompts to copy
Research brief
Use only these sources: [URLs]. Research [the best months for walking in the Algarve], the festival dates in [April and May] and typical prices for [a three-night stay]. Return a short brief with each fact, its source and any place where two sources disagree. Do not write captions yet.
Plan with my assets
Use Tareno to list the photos in my media library folder [algarve-spring]. Propose one Instagram caption and one date between [dates] for each photo, using only facts from the approved brief. Return a table with file, caption, date and the source of every fact, and save nothing yet.
Save accepted rows
Save rows [1 to 9] of the table as Instagram drafts for [account name] through Tareno and return the draft IDs next to the files. Leave out rows [10 to 12], and do not request any scheduling time yet.
Request the slots
Ask Tareno to schedule the saved drafts at [09:30] on their planned dates in the [Europe/Lisbon] time zone. Return all pending action IDs and remind me that I must approve each one in the Tareno dashboard.

As configured in Tareno on 2026-10-24. The live rules for your own account come from the get_platform_schema tool.
What Instagram itself documents
API publishing is limited to Instagram professional accounts. If the account is linked to a Page that requires Page Publishing Authorization, it cannot publish until that authorization is complete.
A carousel can hold up to 20 images or videos, mixed. Tareno's own composer configuration lists up to 10 images per Instagram post.
Alt text sent through the API applies to image posts only; reels and stories do not support it.
Tareno's configuration requires media on Instagram, so each row in the plan must carry a file from the library; a fact without a photo cannot be posted on its own.
Captions can be up to 2,200 characters, which leaves room for a fact, a short story and a booking link in the comments or the bio.
Instagram's documentation says API publishing works for professional accounts, so the agency's account must be professional before it can be scheduled.
Tareno can read earlier posts and comments on the connected Instagram account, so Manus can avoid repeating a destination the agency posted last month.
What does not work
Manus cannot verify that a source is correct, so facts about prices, dates and opening times need a check by a person before approval.
It cannot create photos, so each planned post needs an existing file in your Tareno media library.
It cannot publish a post by itself, because scheduling and publishing requests become pending actions in the Tareno dashboard.
Mistakes to avoid
Letting the task roam across the whole web. Give Manus a source list, or you cannot tell which fact came from where.
Posting a price or a date without checking the source again. Facts about places change, so verify the ones that matter on the day.
Putting a booking link in the caption. Links in captions are not clickable on Instagram; use the bio or a pinned comment.
Taking the review table as proof. It shows where a fact came from; a person still decides whether the source is good enough.
Open the client's MCP server settings. Add Tareno with the HTTPS endpoint below using Streamable HTTP. This requires support for authenticated remote MCP, not just local stdio servers.
Choose OAuth, connect and sign in with your own Tareno account. Check the requested permissions. Refresh the client's tool list after authorization.
Run list_accounts first. Confirm the returned workspace and account IDs before creating a draft. If no accounts appear, connect a social account in Tareno first.

Can Manus write Instagram captions from research it has done?
Yes. Give it a list of approved sources and your assets, and it proposes captions with the source of each fact. You verify the facts that matter, and drafts are saved through Tareno only after you accept the table.
How do I connect Tareno in Manus?
Use the tested custom MCP connection in Manus with OAuth and your own Tareno account. Availability depends on your Manus plan and workspace permissions. After connecting your own Tareno account, run list_accounts and check the returned profiles before creating a draft or requesting a publishing time.
Why does Manus return a table instead of finished posts?
A table with file, caption, date and source lets a reviewer check a dozen rows in minutes. Once you accept it, Manus saves the pairs as drafts, and you still read each draft in Tareno before requesting a slot.
Can Manus schedule the posts on its own?
No. Scheduling requests become approval actions in Tareno. Instagram receives a post only after you approve it in the dashboard, and Manus can report that a request is pending but cannot change it.
Does Manus need an API key?
No. The custom connection uses OAuth, so Manus stores the authorization after you sign in with your Tareno account. Do not paste a key or a token into a task or a prompt.
How do I stop Manus from using weak sources?
Name the sources it may use and the ones it must not, and ask for the source of every fact in the review table. Compare the facts that matter with their sources before you approve a post.
