Use Perplexity Computer with Tareno to read the sources you follow, write a LinkedIn briefing that attributes every item and keeps your commentary apart, and save it as a draft you approve.
Can Perplexity Computer write a weekly LinkedIn briefing from named sources with clear attribution?
Yes, through a custom connector you add yourself. Perplexity reads the sources you name, separates cited facts from your commentary, writes a briefing of about 200 words and saves a draft through Tareno. It has no Tareno listing yet, you check the sources, and a time request stays pending until you approve it.
A weekly briefing is how many specialists stay visible: what happened in the field, what it means, what to watch. The work is in the reading, and the risk is in the writing, because a briefing that blends reported facts with opinion is hard to trust and hard to correct. Perplexity Computer reads and cites, which makes it a good partner for the first half. Tareno saves the result as a draft on your LinkedIn profile and keeps any time request pending until you approve it. This page follows a procurement consultant who sends a Monday briefing to her network, with the facts, the commentary and the approval kept in separate steps. Tareno has not completed a client test with Perplexity, so begin with a read-only call.
Example: a consultant sends a weekly procurement briefing
Imagine a consultant who follows public procurement rules. On Sunday evening she gives Perplexity five sources she trusts and asks for the changes of the past seven days, each with publisher, date and the exact wording of the change. She opens the two that matter most. She asks for a briefing of about 200 words in which every item names its source and her commentary sits in a closing paragraph she writes the opinion for herself. Perplexity confirms her profile with list_accounts and saves the approved text with create_drafts. Monday morning she requests a time and approves it in Tareno.
Step by step
01
Connect Tareno and test with a read
Add Tareno as a custom remote connector as the Perplexity overview describes, and ask for list_accounts. Your LinkedIn profile or page in the answer is the check; an empty answer means it has to be connected inside Tareno.
02
Fix the source list
Write down the outlets you trust and the seven days in question. Ask for every change with its publisher, date and exact wording, and have single-source items flagged.
03
Read the two or three that carry the week
Pick the items readers will act on and read their sources in full. Check dates, scope and exact wording yourself, since a rule that applies only to large contracts reads very differently in a summary.
04
Write facts and commentary apart
Ask for a briefing in which every item names its source and the commentary sits in a closing paragraph. Write or approve the opinion yourself, since Perplexity should not invent a position for you.
05
Save the draft
Perplexity confirms the profile with list_accounts and saves the approved text through create_drafts. It returns a draft ID and schedules nothing.
06
Request a time and approve
Give a day, a time and an IANA time zone. schedule_posts creates a pending action that you approve in the Tareno dashboard, and get_action_status shows the result.

Check the connection
Use Tareno to list my connected social accounts with platform and account name. Read only: do not create, schedule or publish anything. Tell me which one you would use for a weekly LinkedIn briefing, and say clearly if you cannot reach Tareno.
Collect the changes
Read these sources: [list]. For the last seven days, list each change in public procurement rules with publisher, date and the exact wording, and mark any change that rests on one source. Separate what the sources state from anything you infer, and do not write the briefing yet.
Write the briefing
Write a LinkedIn briefing of about 200 words from the changes I confirmed. Name the source of every item inside the text. End with a separate paragraph for my commentary, which you leave as a placeholder [my view] because I will write it myself.
Save the draft
Use Tareno to confirm my LinkedIn profile [name] and save the approved briefing, including the commentary paragraph that I wrote myself, as one draft. Return the draft ID together with the full text, and do not request any time until I give you the day and the time zone.
Request the slot
Take the draft [draft ID] and ask Tareno to schedule it for [Monday 08:00] in [Europe/Berlin]. Return the action ID and remind me that the request still waits for my approval in the Tareno dashboard.

What LinkedIn itself documents
Organic posts can contain text, images, videos, documents, articles, several images or polls. Organic carousels are not supported by the Posts API; they exist only as sponsored content.
Posting for a company page requires one of the page roles administrator, direct sponsored content poster or content admin. Posting as a member needs the w_member_social permission.
An article post needs its title, description and thumbnail set explicitly, because the API does not scrape the link for a preview.
Reading a member's own posts needs r_member_social, a restricted permission that is available to approved users only.
A briefing of roughly 200 words uses a small part of the 3,000 characters that Tareno's configuration allows, leaving space for a source name on every item.
A company page can be a target only when the connecting member holds one of the LinkedIn roles that permit page posting, such as administrator.
Past briefings published outside Tareno cannot be read back, so Perplexity cannot check this week's text against last week's.
One link to a source at the end gets a preview card in Tareno's configuration without crowding the attributions in the text.
What does not work
Perplexity cannot judge which sources you should trust, so you name them and open the ones that matter.
It cannot read your earlier LinkedIn posts through Tareno unless they were created in your workspace.
It cannot publish on its own, since a time request becomes a post only after you approve it in the Tareno dashboard.
Mistakes to avoid
Blending commentary into reported items, which makes later corrections awkward. Give the opinion its own paragraph.
Handing Perplexity your position. A placeholder keeps the opinion yours.
Trusting a source because it was cited. Open the ones that carry the briefing.
Letting a stale date slip in. Compare each source's date with the period.
Open the client's MCP server settings. Add Tareno with the HTTPS endpoint below using Streamable HTTP. This requires support for authenticated remote MCP, not just local stdio servers.
Choose OAuth, connect and sign in with your own Tareno account. Check the requested permissions. Refresh the client's tool list after authorization.
Run list_accounts first. Confirm the returned workspace and account IDs before creating a draft. If no accounts appear, connect a social account in Tareno first.

Use the same Tareno account across supported clients. Open the relevant setup guide for authentication, first use, reconnect, and revocation.
In the commentary. Reported items can stay neutral because attribution is what makes them credible, so leave the opinion as a placeholder and write it yourself.
How long should the source list be?
Three to eight sources work well. A longer list buries the items worth opening, while one or two sources can pass off a single outlet's framing as the whole picture. Choose sources you already trust instead of letting the tool pick.
Is Tareno listed in Perplexity?
Not yet. Tareno has submitted a catalog request and is waiting for a decision, so you add Tareno yourself as a custom remote connector if your plan allows it. The tools behind it match those in any other client.
Can a briefing go to my firm's page?
Only if the connecting member has a LinkedIn role that permits page posting, such as administrator. The page then shows up in `list_accounts`; if it does not, the missing piece is in Tareno's connection, not in the prompt.
How should a conflict between sources appear?
State both versions with source and date, then decide whether to publish one or to say that reports differ. The briefing should show the disagreement and never pick silently.
What stops a wrong item reaching my network?
The pending request in Tareno. A time request becomes a post only after you approve it in the dashboard, and `get_action_status` reports what LinkedIn answered afterwards.
