Message OpenClaw what a clip shows; it writes the TikTok caption, checks your account's creator options through Tareno and saves a draft for your approval.
Can OpenClaw write TikTok captions and drafts when I message it about a clip?
Yes. Message OpenClaw on a channel configured in your Gateway with the clip name and a few words about it. It writes a caption with hashtags, reads your TikTok account's creator options through Tareno and saves a draft. The clip must already be in your media library, and a scheduling request stays pending until you approve it.
Food trucks, barbers and small shops film their best TikTok material during service, and the footage dies on the phone because writing a caption feels like another shift. A chat message is small enough to send between customers. OpenClaw receives it in the apps people already use and does the preparation in Tareno: the caption, the hashtags, the check of what TikTok currently allows for the account. This page follows a street-food vendor through that routine and shows where the phone stops and Tareno takes over: the clip itself has to be in the library, and the final yes happens in the dashboard.
Example: a street-food vendor posts the lunch rush
Imagine a vendor who films a 20-second clip of dumplings being folded and uploads it to the Tareno library from his phone. Between orders he messages OpenClaw on Telegram with the clip name and one line: new filling this week, only Thursday to Saturday. OpenClaw finds the file with list_media, writes a caption of two short lines and four hashtags in his voice, and reads the account's creator options with get_platform_options. It replies that comments are enabled and lists the privacy levels TikTok offers. He answers "public if possible", OpenClaw saves the draft through create_drafts, and he approves a Thursday 11:30 slot in the dashboard after closing.
Step by step
01
Upload the clip first
OpenClaw cannot see your phone's gallery. Add the finished clip to your Tareno library, vertical, with sound and between 3 seconds and 10 minutes, the range in Tareno's TikTok configuration.
02
Message the clip name and one line
Use a channel configured in your OpenClaw Gateway. Name the clip and say what is new or what the viewer should do, such as which days the dish is on sale.
03
Let it read the creator options
OpenClaw calls get_platform_options for the account and tells you which privacy levels are available and whether comments are on. These options come from TikTok per account, so they can differ from one creator to another.
04
Confirm caption and privacy in the chat
OpenClaw replies with the caption and the options. Answer in one line, for example public with comments on, and it saves the draft accordingly.
05
Save the draft
OpenClaw saves the clip and caption through create_drafts for your TikTok account and replies with the draft ID. Nothing is scheduled yet.
06
Choose the time and approve
Tell OpenClaw the day and time. The request becomes a pending action in Tareno, and you approve it in the dashboard before TikTok receives anything.
Prompts to copy
Caption from a chat note
Use Tareno to find the clip [dumplings-thursday.mp4] in my media library. Write a TikTok caption of two short lines and four hashtags for the note: [new filling this week, Thursday to Saturday only]. Show me the caption and do not save anything yet.
Check what TikTok offers
Use Tareno to read the TikTok creator options for my account [name]. Tell me which privacy levels I can choose and whether comments are enabled, and ask me which I want before you save the draft.
Save the confirmed draft
Save the clip and the confirmed caption as a TikTok draft for [account] through Tareno, with the privacy level I chose. Reply with the draft ID and do not request a time until I give you the day and the time zone.
Friday check
Every Friday at 16:00, list through Tareno the clips in my media library that have no TikTok draft yet and message me their names. Never create a draft or schedule anything without my reply, and tell me if the Gateway restarted since the last run so I know whether a Friday check was missed.

creator settings come from get_platform_options (tiktok_creator_info)
As configured in Tareno on 2026-10-24. The live rules for your own account come from the get_platform_schema tool.
What TikTok itself documents
Direct posting needs an app that is approved for the video.publish scope. Content posted by unaudited clients is restricted to private viewing until the client passes TikTok's audit.
Before a direct post, the creator's current options must be queried: the allowed privacy levels, whether comments, duets and stitches are disabled, and the maximum video duration. In Tareno this is get_platform_options with the option tiktok_creator_info.
TikTok decides per creator what a post may do. The creator options include the allowed privacy levels and whether comments, duets and stitches are disabled, so OpenClaw asks Tareno before it promises you a setting.
TikTok's documentation says content posted by unaudited clients is restricted to private viewing, which is why the visibility you can pick comes from the options TikTok returns and not from the prompt.
Tareno's configuration requires media on TikTok and lists a vertical ratio and an audio track for video, so a silent screen recording would fail the check.
TikTok captions in Tareno can be much longer than a caption needs to be, but they take no links, so a menu or booking link belongs in the account bio.
What does not work
OpenClaw cannot film, edit or add sound to a clip, so every TikTok draft depends on a finished file in your Tareno media library.
It cannot read comments on your TikTok posts through Tareno, because comment reading is not available for that network.
It cannot publish by itself, since scheduling and publishing requests wait for your approval in the Tareno dashboard.
Mistakes to avoid
Promising public visibility before reading the creator options. If TikTok offers only private for the account, say so in your plan.
Sending a silent clip. TikTok video in Tareno needs an audio track, so add music or a voiceover before upload.
Putting a menu link in the caption. Links are not supported in the TikTok text; use the bio instead.
Running the Friday reminder with the Gateway off. A scheduled run only fires while the Gateway is up at that time.
Open the client's MCP server settings. Add Tareno with the HTTPS endpoint below using Streamable HTTP. This requires support for authenticated remote MCP, not just local stdio servers.
Choose OAuth, connect and sign in with your own Tareno account. Check the requested permissions. Refresh the client's tool list after authorization.
Run list_accounts first. Confirm the returned workspace and account IDs before creating a draft. If no accounts appear, connect a social account in Tareno first.

Can I send OpenClaw a message and get a TikTok draft?
Yes, if the clip is already in your Tareno library and your channel is set up in the OpenClaw Gateway. OpenClaw writes the caption, reads the creator options and saves a draft. You approve scheduling in the Tareno dashboard.
What does OpenClaw check before saving a TikTok draft?
It reads the creator options for your account through Tareno, such as the allowed privacy levels and whether comments are enabled, and asks you to choose. Those options come from TikTok and differ per account.
Why does my clip need sound?
Tareno's configuration for TikTok lists an audio track as required for video. A silent clip fails that check, so add music or a voiceover before you upload the file to your media library.
Can OpenClaw put my menu link in the caption?
No. Links are not supported in the TikTok text in Tareno's configuration. Put the link in your TikTok bio and mention it in the caption in words, for example by saying the menu is in the profile.
Can a reminder job create TikTok drafts?
It can message you about clips without a draft if the Gateway is running at that time. Keep its tool list to reads, so a scheduled run can never create, schedule or publish anything on its own.
Will OpenClaw post for me while I am working?
No. A scheduling request becomes a pending action in Tareno. TikTok receives the clip only after you approve it in the dashboard, so nothing goes live while you are busy unless you approved it before.
